The Neck Wound is a lifelike, wearable training device developed to simulate a traumatic neck injury for emergency medical and tactical response education. This model reveals internal layers of fat and muscle, offering a detailed and realistic representation of a penetrating neck wound, critical for teaching advanced hemorrhage control and airway management skills.
Constructed using Techline Trauma’s patented SOFTTECH® material and high-quality silicone rubber, the wound delivers a realistic tactile feel with visually authentic tissue layering. It is highly durable, UV resistant, and includes an internal reinforcing fabric to prevent tearing during repeated training use.
Designed to wrap comfortably around an actor or manikin, the device uses hook-and-loop fastening for a secure fit that accommodates movement and various training positions. Integrated blood tubing simulates active bleeding and connects to the included Blood Supply Pump. It is also compatible with SKEDCO® bleeding simulation equipment (sold separately), allowing for realistic, pressure-responsive blood flow.
The product enhances trauma training scenarios by providing hands-on practice in assessing and managing complex neck injuries, preparing trainees to respond swiftly and effectively in real-world emergencies.
