The Abdominal Aortic & Junctional Tourniquet (AAJT-S) is a critical tool for emergency bleeding control in multiple anatomical regions. When applied at the mid-abdomen, the AAJT-S compresses the abdominal aorta to control severe bleeding in the pelvis, groin, and legs, providing vital hemorrhage management. In the axilla, the device effectively compresses the subclavian artery, acting like a faucet to shut off blood flow and prevent further blood loss.

For inguinal applications, the AAJT-S can be positioned to stop hemorrhages in the left or right lower leg. Additionally, it is cleared to stabilize pelvic fractures, reducing the abdominal cavity’s bleeding potential. The AAJT-S has been proven equivalent to Zone 3 REBOA (Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta) when applied at the mid-abdominal level, offering a reliable and efficient alternative in critical care situations.
